This year we have had the pleasure of working with six students who will be graduating in the senior class of 2016. We are keen not to burden our students with additional work as they focused on meeting college application and standardized testing deadlines. We wanted to take this time to share with you some of the deadlines our seniors have been working to meet as they prepare for phase two of their educational journey.
Allen Grove, a college admissions expert, lists the following suggestions that seniors should consider doing the last year of high school in order to prepare for the college admissions process. Grove also breaks down the process by each month of the last year of high school.
The following is a general list of suggestions:
1. Prepare & Register for the ACT/SAT exams
2. Narrow down college choices to a handful of schools
3. Get college essays written and proofread
4. Request letters of recommendation
5. Apply for financial aid
